Killswitch Hospitalized, On Oxygen Recovering from Double Pneumonia – Luchasaurus, also known by his current ring name Killswitch, is in recovery after a frightening health incident on Friday, September 27. His fiancée found him collapsed, and he was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors discovered his blood oxygen level was critically low, falling below 80 percent. After further examination, he was diagnosed with severe pneumonia in both lungs. According to the medical team, he was only days away from suffering permanent lung damage had he not received timely care.
Since the diagnosis, Luchasaurus has been receiving oxygen therapy and is expected to be out of action for at least a month. His in-ring return is uncertain at this stage, as the severity of his condition requires a significant recovery period. His last match took place at AEW All In in London, where he competed in two matches. Prior to that, his schedule had been quite limited, with only eight matches in total for 2024, often working alongside Christian Cage as part of the Patriarchy faction.
This news was reported by Fightful after receiving permission from those close to Luchasaurus, whose real name is Austin Matelson. His fans and the wrestling community wish him a full and speedy recovery.
