Complete AEW vs. NXT Results – Cody Rhodes Changes His Look, 30 Years Of Chris Jericho, 2 Titles Match Set For TakeOver

• ON THIS DAY IN PRO-WRESTLING HISTORY (September 23, 1994) – UWF Blackjack Brawl

On this day in 1994, Herb Abrams´ Universal Wrestling Federation aired ‘UWF Blackjack Brawl’ LIVE on SportsChannel America from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It was considered a failure with only 600 fans in the 15,000+ seat arena and also the TV buyrate was considered anything but good.

This ended up being the last UWF event in the promotion’s history, as a planned event called ‘UWF St. Valentine’s Day Massacre’, that was booked for February 10, 1996 was cancelled and Herb Abrams passed away not too long thereafter on July 23, 1996.

The results for UWF Black Jack Brawl were:

Inaugural UWF Americas Championship: Dan Spivey defeated Johnny Ace

Inaugural UWF Junior Heavyweight Championship: Jack Armstrong defeated Mando Guerrero

Vacant UWF Sports Channel Television Championship: Sunny Beach defeated Dr. Feelgood

UWF Southern States Championship: Bob Orton, Jr. (c) wrestled Finland Hellraiser Thor

Inaugural UWF Midget World Championship: Little Tokyo defeated The Karate Kid
