The return of WWE Bad Blood marks a significant moment in WWE’s 2024 calendar. As a part of WWE’s mission to revive classic pay-per-view events, this year’s Bad Blood is expected to bring back the drama, excitement, and brutal confrontations that the event was once known for. Atlanta, a city with deep roots in wrestling history, will play host to this major event, further heightening the excitement for fans attending in person and watching around the world.

The announcement of WWE Bad Blood’s return has generated widespread buzz, with fans reminiscing about the epic moments from past editions while looking forward to the fresh rivalries and dramatic matches slated for this year’s show.

History of Bad Blood

WWE Bad Blood made its debut in 1997 and quickly established itself as one of WWE’s most brutal and intense pay-per-view events. The inaugural event is especially notable for the debut of the Hell in a Cell match, which featured Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker in a legendary encounter. Over the years, Bad Blood became synonymous with high-stakes matches, personal feuds, and, of course, the infamous Hell in a Cell structure.

  • 1997: The first-ever Hell in a Cell match, Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker, remains a pivotal moment in WWE history.
  • 2003: Triple H vs. Kevin Nash in another Hell in a Cell classic, showcasing the intensity that Bad Blood became known for.
  • 2004: The last Bad Blood event saw Triple H defeat Shawn Michaels in a 47-minute Hell in a Cell match, closing the chapter on an era of violent and emotionally charged encounters.

WWE Bad Blood is remembered for its emphasis on personal rivalries, making it the perfect platform for intense storytelling and unforgettable matches. Its revival in 2024 is not only a tribute to the past but also an opportunity to introduce new fans to the chaos and excitement that defined this event.

Confirmed Matches and Predictions

CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre

One of the marquee matchups for WWE Bad Blood 2024 will see CM Punk face Drew McIntyre in a Hell in a Cell match. This encounter promises to be a brutal and emotionally charged affair, with the history between these two superstars fueling the fire.

  • Background Rivalry: CM Punk made a shocking return to WWE earlier in the year, and his feud with Drew McIntyre has been building ever since. McIntyre, who is known for his toughness and resilience, has taken issue with Punk’s return, feeling that the veteran has been given too much attention at the expense of other wrestlers. Punk, on the other hand, sees McIntyre as a stepping stone to reclaim his spot at the top.
  • Match Breakdown: Hell in a Cell matches are known for their brutality, and this one is expected to be no different. With Punk’s experience and McIntyre’s physical dominance, the two are set to tear the house down. The steel structure will play a crucial role, as both superstars look to settle their differences once and for all.
  • Predicted Outcome: CM Punk’s experience in big matches might give him the edge, but McIntyre’s drive to prove himself could lead to a surprise victory. Either way, this match has the potential to steal the show.

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu

This tag-team match features two of WWE’s biggest stars, Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, teaming up against the formidable duo of Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.

  • Tag-Team Dynamics: The dynamic between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns is complex. Once bitter rivals, they have come together out of necessity to combat the rising force of Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu, who have aligned themselves in a quest for dominance. Both teams are well-balanced, with Reigns’ power and Rhodes’ technical prowess countering the explosive athleticism of Sikoa and Fatu.
  • Predicted Outcome: While the outcome could go either way, the storyline implications point towards Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu pulling off an upset, especially if there’s any tension between Reigns and Rhodes.

Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley

Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley are set to clash for the Women’s World Championship in a match that promises to be as exciting as it is unpredictable.

  • Competitors: Liv Morgan, the underdog champion, has been fighting off challengers for months, while Rhea Ripley, a powerhouse in the women’s division, is hungry to regain the title. The contrast in their styles—Morgan’s speed and resilience versus Ripley’s raw power—makes for a compelling matchup.
  • Match Stakes: The stakes are high, with both women vying to solidify their legacies. For Morgan, a victory would cement her reign as one of the most unlikely but successful champions in recent memory. For Ripley, a win would reestablish her dominance in the division.
  • Predicted Outcome: Rhea Ripley is the favorite to win, but Liv Morgan’s never-say-die attitude means she could pull off an upset if Ripley underestimates her.

Potential Surprises

WWE Bad Blood 2024 is ripe for unexpected moments. Some possible surprises include:

  • Unconfirmed Matches: WWE might add a few more high-stakes matches to the card. The return of Brock Lesnar or even a mystery opponent for stars like Seth Rollins could shake things up.
  • Surprise Appearances: Legends such as The Undertaker or John Cena making cameo appearances would undoubtedly electrify the audience.
  • Twists: WWE is known for its plot twists. Betrayals or unexpected alliances could significantly alter the outcomes of the matches, especially in the tag team bout involving Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.

Significance of WWE Bad Blood 2024

The revival of WWE Bad Blood in 2024 holds tremendous significance for WWE and its fans. The event is a nod to the company’s storied past while also looking towards the future. WWE has been gradually bringing back some of its most iconic pay-per-views, and Bad Blood’s return fits perfectly into this strategy.

For fans, the return of Bad Blood is a chance to relive the high-stakes, emotionally driven storylines that the event was known for. It also serves as a platform for today’s stars to create their own legacies. The importance of events like this cannot be understated, as they allow WWE to showcase its rich history while continuing to innovate and push the envelope in terms of entertainment.

CM Punk Says Drew McIntyre is a Piece of Shit

CM Punk Says Drew McIntyre is a Piece of Shit

CM Punk Says Drew McIntyre is a Piece of Shit – CM Punk and Drew McIntyre have feuded for the better part of 2024. Their rivalry got so intense that several championship opportunities were lost in the process, and a friendship bracelet became one of the most sought-after items on WWE television for the entire summer.

Now that their rivalry is reaching its apex in Hell in a Cell at WWE Bad Blood, Punk is getting to reflect on his first feud following his WWE return. During an interview with Spiegel & Holmes on 670 The Score, Punk flat out called McIntyre “a piece of shit” when asked what he thought of his heated enemy.

“People enjoy a good rivalry. I think Drew is a piece of shit. Asking me what I think of him is kind of a loaded question. You’re not going to get me to say anything really flattering about him. It’s a good car crash. I understand, people like to watch that. They like to watch a good blood feud. I like when the Blackhawks play…they don’t really play Detroit anymore. Minnesota? I like when the Cubs play the (White) Sox, a little crosstown rivalry. I get it.”

There could be a chance that their Hell in a Cell Match on October 5 resembles a car crash. Punk has stated that he’s comfortable with this being the end of him if it means ending the rivalry, and McIntyre is all for permanently ending Punk’s career.

Eric Young Discusses ‘Mr. McMahon’ Docuseries

Eric Young Discusses 'Mr. McMahon' Docuseries

Eric Young Discusses ‘Mr. McMahon’ Docuseries – The “Mr. McMahon” docuseries premiered on Netflix on September 25th. The six-part docuseries features interviews with Vince McMahon and many others, and most of them were recorded before McMahon initially retired in 2022.

Speaking on HUGE POP! with Donnie DaSilva and Jimmy Korderas, the Vince McMahon docuseries came up in the conversation, and Young responded to the claim that it was disappointing.

“I don’t know what people were expecting. I mean, Netflix is married to the WWE, and no one understands better that he doesn’t work there anymore, but his legacy will be part of that company as long as it exists, and at one time, I would say, in my personal opinion, a genius and the greatest promoter living. He lost his way along the way obviously, and the documentary is certainly not kind. I haven’t seen it, but I know people that have. I don’t know if I’ll watch it or not, it’s certainly not on my list. There’s lots of other good TV that I’m busy watching. The stuff on there is all stuff that’s been talked about before, so it’s no news to me. But it’s definitely got the world and anybody that’s linked or affiliated with wrestling in any way talking and wondering what’s gonna happen. So never a dull moment in pro wrestling, that’s for sure,” Young said.

WWE Raw is moving to Netflix in January 2025; WWE announced the $5 billion deal in January 2024.
