AEW will be getting back one of its stars from the sidelines after being injured.
Earlier this month, Thunder Rosa revealed she has been sidelined with a concussion. At the time of the announcement on Busted Open Radio, Rosa expected to be out of action for a few weeks.
Rosa encouraged wrestlers who thought they might have a concussion to stop and not continue to wrestle, as it was not worth it. She has been researching concussions and contracted former WWE star Chris Nowinski, who is the CEO of Concussion Legacy Foundation.
The top AEW star last wrestled on the August 31st episode of AEW Collision, where she faced Hikaru Shida, Serena Deeb, and Queen Aminata in a four-way bout. The former AEW Women’s Champion threw out the first pitch at a San Diego Padres baseball game this past week.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Rosa has been cleared to return. We hope to see her back in the ring soon.
